The musical notes are basically the representation of pitch or the frequency. In Carnatic they are denoted as Sa,Ri,Ga,Ma,Pa,Dha,Ni and Sa. And in western they are done by alphabets A to G.  Raaga(in carnatic) and a Scale in western music is playing only a certain combination of notes. The ascending order of notes is AArohanam and the Descending order of notes is the the Avarohanam. |
